Overview

ICF is a global consulting and technology services provider.

In 1969, a former Tuskegee Airman and three U.S. Department of Defense analysts founded the Inner City Fund to finance minority-owned businesses in Washington, D.C. Since then, we’ve conducted the world’s largest global health survey, helped launch Energy Star, and supported America’s largest housing recovery effort.

New Mexico Gas Company (NMGC)

One of my inaugural projects with ICF Next was for the New Mexico Gas Company (NMGC), where I was responsible for redesigning their rebates page. My primary objective was to seamlessly integrate the subpages with the existing brand identity. To enhance user experience for both customers and contractors, I implemented modern design solutions that facilitated easy navigation for applying for rebates and qualified contracts. This involved utilizing microanimations alongside repurposed brand patterns, creating an engaging and cohesive digital experience.

Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE)

During my time with ICF Next, I had the opportunity to work with Baltimore Gas & Electric (BGE) under a new director, and this project quickly became one of my favorites. BGE had a comprehensive brand guide, which initially allowed me to create engaging brochures and mailers. Once I established a rapport with the client, I was invited to brainstorm innovative ideas for an interactive advertisement. The concept involved designing a fun game that would entice customers, leading them to apply for a complimentary home energy checkup upon completion. This initiative received positive feedback and marked just one of many successful campaigns ICF Next developed for BGE.

Office of Infectious Disease & HIV/AIDS Policy (OIDP)

Another significant project was with the Office of Infectious Disease & HIV/AIDS Policy (OIDP) for their Work of Art campaign and conference materials. Although much of the campaign was pre-designed, my role focused on refreshing the color palette and incorporating animations. I created assets for various social media and email formats, as well as banners for the conference, ensuring they were visually appealing and cohesive.

Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)

One of my early projects was for the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). This involved collaborating with a UX team to bring the final website to life. I designed pages based on their specifications, securing approvals before moving to production. After completing the homepage, we began developing the Data Analysis System (DAS) wizard.

U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)

With the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), I enjoyed working on a watershed diagram, which was intended for both email campaigns and on-site use. This diagram aimed to educate the public on the importance of watersheds within our communities.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

Finally, I contributed to the annual Brownfields Conference hosted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). I created a slideshow for their digital display that, while informative and detailed, also incorporated engaging elements. The final presentation was animated, making it visually captivating for attendees.
